Josephine VandeWalle Tschida.
Josephine VandeWalle Tschida, 74, of Tipton,
Ind., formerly of 222 E. Fairview St., died Wednesday night in
the St. Joseph Convent Infirmary, Tipton. She was a
secretary for the South Bend Police Department and City Lumber
Co. Born October 7, 1910, in South Bend, she lived here
until moving to Florida in 1977. She moved to Tipton
recently. On August 19, 1950, she married Leo J. Tschida,
who died in 1972. Survivors include three sisters, Sister
Eleanor VandeWalle of Tipton, Catherine Chrisman of Largo,
Fla., and Marcella Swilley of Three Rivers. A
brother, Charles preceded her in death.
Mrs. Tschida was a former member of
St. Matthew Cathedral, the auxillary to Veterans of Foreign Wars
Post 1167, the American Legion auxillary of Three Rivers and
Holiday Isles Ladies of the Elks Lodge 1912, Madeira Beach Fla.
Memorial contributions may be made to Harry Anna Crippled
Children's Hospital in Madeira Beach, the Holiday Isles Ladies of
the Elks Lodge 1912 or to the Sisters of St. Joseph in Tipton.
Welsheimer Funeral Home, 521 N. William St., is handling
arrangements.

TSCHIDA - Services for Josephine V. Tschida, 74,
formerly of 222 E. Fairview Ave., who died at 10:31 p.m.
Wednesday in St. Joseph Convent, Tipton, Ind., will be at 11 a.m.
Monday in St. Matthew Cathedral. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in Welsheimer
Funeral Home, 521 N. William St., where a rosary will be recited
at 4 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Harey-Anna
Crippled Children's Hospital, in care of the Holiday Isle Ladies
of the Elks, Maderia Beach, Fla.
