Mrs. G. Leo Tschida

March 3, 1902 – September 14, 1972

Mrs. Helen Tschida, 70, of 2023 S. Franklin St., died at 7am today in her residence after an extended illness.

She was born on March 3, 1902, in Hungary and came here 61 years ago from there.  On January 20, 1920, as Helen Kekko, she was married to G. Leo Tschida, who survives, along with two daughters, Mrs. Steve Madaras of South Bend, and Mrs. Harold Harrington of Mishawaka; four grandchildren; a great grandson and a sister, Mrs. George Hegedus of South Bend.

Friends may call from 7 to 9pm today and 2 to 5 and 7 to 9pm Friday in the Zahoran Funeral Home, where a parish rosary will be recited at 7:45pm Friday.  Services will be conducted at 10am Saturday in St Mary’s of the Assumption Church, Rev. Thomas E. Doriot, pastor, officiating.  Burial will be in Highland Cemetery.  Mrs. Tschida was a member of the Altar & Rosary Society of St Mary’s Church.
