Frank J. Tschida.

Frank J. Tschida, 426 W. Navarre St., died at 8:30 a.m. today in Memorial Hospital after a long illness.  He was born in Austria Dec. 23, 1883.  He was married Feb. 4, 1913, in South Bend to the former Moudelle Brodbeck, who survives.  He retired in 1948 after 42 years service as an executive of The Standard Oil Co. of Indiana.  Surviving besides his wife are a daughter, Ethel M. of New York; a son, Howard E. of Venice, Calif.; a sister, Mrs. Michael Wartha of South Bend and a granddaughter.  Friends may call after 7 p.m. Wednesday in the Welsheimer Funeral Home.

Tschida was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church for the past 50 years and for many years served as treasurer of Aerie 435, Fraternal Order of Eagles.

TSCHIDA - Funeral services for Frank J. Tschida, 426 W. Navarre St., will be held at 10 a.m. Friday in St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Rev. John Driscoll, C.S.C. will officiate.  Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery. The rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Thursday in the Welsheimer Funeral Home.
