James V. Troiola

Mishawaka James V. Troiola, a retired Mishawaka policeman, was dead on arrival at 2:45 p.m. Thursday in St. Joseph Hospital, South Bend, after an unexpected illness. He was 61 and resided at 1016 W. Jefferson Blvd. Troiola was born in Toluca, Ill. On April 25, 1916, and had lived in Mishawaka since coming from Toluca 54 years ago. He retired from the Police Department on Feb. 1, 1965, after 22 years of service, and was employed as a salesman for Eckler-Lahey Lumber Inc., South Bend.
Surviving are two daughters, Joni and Julia Marie Troiola, a son Wayne M., a sister Julia Troiola, and two brothers, Ernaldo H. and David, all of Mishawaka.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in the Bubb Funeral Chapel. Troiola was a memebr of St. Monicas Catholic Church; Lodge 91, Fraternal Order of Police, and the Diloreto Club.

Service for James V. Troiola, a retired Mishawaka policeman, was dead on arrival Thursday in St. Joseph Hospital, South Bend, after an unexpected illness will be at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Monicas Catholic Church. Rev. William Gieranowski, pastor, will officiate and burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in the Bubb Funeral Chapel where a rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Sunday.
