Esther Trippel, 77, of 1420 McKinley Ave., died at 8:45 a.m. Saturday in St. Joseph Medical Center, She was born Oct. 31, 1909 in South Bend and lived in the area all her life.
On July 8, 1931 in Mishawaka, as Esther Troeger, she married Carl A. Trippel, who survives. Also surviving are a sister, Irene Troeger of South Bend; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday a St. Joseph Church in South Bend. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 Monday at the Thallemer-Goethals Funeral Home, where a rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m.
