Mishawaka - Alfred J. Trippel, 87, of 322 Milburn Court, died at 3:45 p.m. Saturday in St. Joseph Hospital, Mishawaka, following an extended illness. He retired from Uniroyal in 1960 after 45 years’ service.
Trippel was born Sept 1, 1895 in Mishawaka and lived here all his life.
On Oct. 24, 1916 in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Mishawaka, he married Mary A. Futterknecht. She survives along with four daughters, Mrs. Wilfred (Gertrude) Weinkauf, Mrs. Robert (Mildred) Scheibelhut, Mrs. Walter (Geraldine) Gropp, all of Mishawaka, and Mrs. Donald (Pauline) Heckman of Lakeland Fla.; a son Robert J. Trippel, of Mishawaka; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and a brother Carl A. Trippel of Mishawaka.

Mishawaka – Services for Alfred J. Trippel, 87, of 322 Milburn Court, who died Saturday in St. Joseph Hospital after an extended illness, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Joseph Catholic Church. Rev. Kenneth Sarrazine, pastor, will officiate.
Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.
A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today in the chapel of Thallemer-Goethals Funeral Home.
