MISHAWAKA - Nancy E. Travis, 93, passed away at 8:20 p.m. Thursday, March 8, 2007, in Beverly Living Center of Mishawaka. Nancy was born on December 28, 1913, in Jersey Shore, PA, to the late George and Lou (Carnahan) Brown.

Nancy retired as a receptionist at the Morris Inn. She is survived by her sons, Richard L. (Judy) Barner of Osceola and Scott Barner of Mishawaka; a daughter, Joanne (Ed) Odynski of South Bend; eight grandchildren, Nancy Odynski, Donna Odynski, Joan Odynski, Richard L.(Chris) Barner Jr., Lori (Bob) Pletcher, Scott Barner, Terry Barner and Cathy (Ron) Carlson; and 15 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters, Louise Hill of Jersey Shore, PA, and Edith Hastings of Clearfield, PA. She was preceded in death by her husband, Chester Travis; and brothers, William, George and Joseph Brown.

Private family services will be held. Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Highway, Osceola, is handling arrangements. Burial in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola. The family's preferred memorial is the American Diabetes Association, 7363 E. 21st St, Indianapolis, IN 46219.
