Marguerite Toth, 91, formerly of
Quince Road, South Bend, Ind., passed away quietly at 9:50 p.m.
on Christmas Eve, Dec. 24, in Miller's Merry Manor, New Carlisle,
Ind. She was born on Aug. 30, 1909, in South Bend, to the late
Charles and Esther (Rajna) Toth. She was also preceded in
death by two sisters, Helen Kerekes and Anna Nickerson;
a brother, Steve Toth; a daughter, Marjorie Molnar, who
passed away on May 15, 1997; and by a son-in-law, Frank Molnar,
who died on June 17, 1998.
On Feb. 16, 1931, in St. Stephen's Catholic
Church, she married Alex Toth, who also preceded her in death on
Dec. 28, 1989. She is survived by a son, Charles Toth, and his
wife, Patricia of South Bend; three grandchildren, Patricia Granger
and her husband, Jerald of New Carlisle, Gregory Toth of
Indianapolis, Ind., and Allison Schoenfeld of Mishawaka,
Ind.; a brother, John Toth of South Bend; and by several nieces
and nephews.
Marguerite was a devoted wife, and loving
mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. She enjoyed gardening, and
took pride in supplying her family with delicious vegetables
grown on their farm on Quince Road in Lydick. She will be greatly
missed.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be
celebrated at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 28, in St. Stephen's
Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery.
Family and friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today,
Dec. 27, in the Zahoran Funeral Home, 1826 South Kemble Avenue,
where a Rosary will be recited at 3:30 p.m. Memorial
contributions may be made to St. Stephen's Catholic Church.
