Harry A. Tolle Sr., 77, of South Bend, passed away, Thursday at 1:35 p.m., in Memorial Hospital.

He worked as a supervisor and retired from Bendix. He was born on Sept. 17, 1919, in South Bend, and was a lifetime area resident.

On May 30, 1941, in South Bend, he married Gertrude Reith, who preceded him in death in November of 1991. He is survived by three daughters, Heidi Klink of South Bend, Kathleen Cramer of Nashville, Tenn. and Gwen Shafer of San Diego, Calif.; two sons, Harry A. Tolle, Jr. of San Diego, Calif. and Ronald D. Tolle of Pittsburg, Pa.; ten grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Maxine Hall of Inwood, Ind. and Marcella Schmeltz of Bremen, Ind.

Services will be at 1 p.m., Monday, in Guisinger Colonial Chapel Funeral Home, 3718 S. Michigan St., South Bend, with Rev. Lester L. Sumrall of the Christian Center Cathedral of Praise officiating. Burial will be in Southlawn Cemetery. Friends may call on Sunday, from 6 to 8 p.m., in the funeral home.
