Benjamin Tolchinsky
Benjamin Tolchinsky, 1002 E.
Irvington Ave. died at 6 a.m. today in Memorial Hospital after an illness of
several years. He was born in Russia, Aug. 25, 1873, and came here from Russia
in 1903. He married Miss Frieda Kradin, in Russia, and she died here Oct. 9,
1931. Mr. Tolchinsky was a retried coal dealer and the former owner of the
South Side Coal Company. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Ethel Kahn, and Mrs.
Minnie Berkowitz; four sons, Isadore, David and Abraham Tolchinsky and William Tolchinsky;
13 grandchildren an 15 great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be held at
3:30 p.m. Sunday in the Forest G. Hay Funeral Home with Rabbi Irving Goldman,
of the Hebrew Orthodox Congregation, officiating. Burial will be in Hebrew
Orthodox Cemetery, Mishawaka.
