Alice W. Timler, 86, of South Bend,
Ind., passed away at 7:27 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 2, in the Old Farm
Living Center, Berrien Springs, Mich. Mrs. Timler was born on
April 17, 1915, in Winnetka, Ill., to David and Laura Winship,
who both preceded her in death. She worked for many years as a
volunteer at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, Ind.
On Sept. 25, 1937, as Alice W. Winship, she
married Alfred J. Timler, who died Feb. 24, 2000. She was also
preceded in death by a sister, Martha Johnson; and by her
brother, David Winship.
She is survived by her children, Julie
(Stan) Mrozek of Tawas City, Mich., Mark (Ginny) Timler of
South Bend; and by six grandchildren, Andrea Bray, John
Timler, Peter Timler, David Timler, Mary Timler and Joseph
Timler.
Mrs. Timler received a degree in chemistry
from Lawrence College in Milwaukee, Wis. She loved to read and
play the piano. She loved her family and served them well.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m.
Friday, Aug. 10, in St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Mishawaka, Ind.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to
I.D.E.S. The Kaniewski Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
