Lena C. Tiedge, 93. Of 2010 S. Catalpa, died at 6:40 p.m. Sunday at Meridan Nursing Center-Cardinal, Mrs. Tiedge was born Aug. 23, 1892 in Austria and lived in South Bend the past 85 years after coming from Austria.

On June 23, 1917, in South Bend, she married the former Charles C. Tiedge. He died Dec. 28, 1981. She is survived by  a son Harry of Coloma, Mich.; two grandchildren; five grandchildren and a sister Emma Tiedge of South Bend.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Zahoran Funeral Home.. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 6 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. She was a member of the former American Legion Post 272 Ladies Auxiliary.
