SOUTH BEND - Jack W. Tiedge, 88, of Chicago, born in South
Bend, IN, benevolent friend to all and Good Samaritan. Husband of
the late Angela (Schroeder), devoted father of Dianne
(Bob) Bradley, David (Jodi), Dan (Katrina) and Suzi (Phil)
Collins. Proud grandfather of Craig, Todd, Kelly, Noel,
David Jr., Christian, Spencer, Gracie, Erin and Mackenzie; fond
brother of the late Bill Tiedge. Transitioned into eternal life
on February 27, 2007.
His professional career included executive positions at Studebaker Corporation, Clark Equipment Company, and the First National Bank of Atlanta. In his retirement years, he was involved in professional modeling and restaurant/hotel management, in addition to volunteering in numerous roles to assist his fellow man. He proudly served his country on active duty during World War II.
The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, and to honor his generous spirit, donations be made to the LaSalle Senior Center, 1111 N. Wells St., Suite 500, Chicago, IL 60610. Memorial Mass, 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 3, at Holy Name Cathedral, 735 N. State St., Chicago, IL. Arrangements by the Cremation Society of Illinois.
Editor: He is the son of Emma Yelek and William F. Tiedge. He married Angela Schroeder 9-9-1944 in St. Joseph County IN. She died 6-17-1998 in Sarasota Fl.
