Charles C. Tiedge, 93, formerly of 2010 S. Catalpa, died late Monday at the Cardinal Nursing Home after a lengthy illness. He was retired from the former Studebaker Corp. Born on Oct. 28, 1888 in Lydick, he had lived in South Bend most of his life.
On June 23, 1917, in South Bend, he married the former Lena Yilek. She survives with a son Harry of Coloma; two grandchildren and a sister Rachel Fullmer of South Bend.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Zahoran Funeral Home. Dr, Harold E. Cline of the First Christian Church will officiate. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans and was a World War I Army veteran.
