Sister M. Irene of the Cross CSC, 69, for many years a resident of of the convent at St. Mary’s College, died in the Mother House of the convent Thursday afternoon. She was born Margaret Thorn in Luxembourg in 1870; received her holy habit here in 888; and was professed here in 1894. She spent some years in Salt Lake City, Utah, and returned here a number of years ago.

Requiem high mass will be said at the chapel of the convent at 5:30 a.m. Saturday and internment will be at 11 a.m. in Holy Cross Community Cemetery.
