Judith A. Thompson, 54, of Star Avenue, Osceola, Ind., passed away at 6:50 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 9, in Memorial Hospital, South Bend, Ind. Judith was born on March 21, 1947, in South Bend, to Samuel and Rosella (Kronewitter) Riffel.

As Judith A. Riffel, she married James Thompson in Mishawaka, Ind., on Feb. 1, 1969. James survives. She is also survived by one daughter, Roseanne (Roger) Sullivan of Osceola; two sons, Ronald Thompson of Osceola and Edward Thompson of Mishawaka; her mother, Rosella Beggs of South Bend; two grandchildren, Ramsey and Riley Sullivan of Osceola; a sister, Angie Riffel of South Bend; two brothers, Jim Riffel and John Riffel, both of South Bend; and by a nephew, Rick Riffel.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 12, in the Bubb Funeral Chapel, 3910 N. Main Street, Mishawaka, where family and friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today. Rev. Adolph Lacy will officiate the services, with burial to follow at Fairview Cemetery.
