Nancy Carol Thomas, 49, of Bridgeton Drive, Mishawaka, passed away at 9:45am Saturday, July 12, in Memorial Hospital, South Bend IN.

Nancy was born on May 11, 1954, in Mishawaka, to William and Pearl (McDonald) Paulus, who both have preceded her in death.  She was also preceded in death by her stepson, Brian Thomas in 1972. On June 13, 1987, in Mishawaka, as Nancy Carol Paulus, she married Edward E. Thomas.

Edward survives along with two daughters, Tammy Lausman of Granger IN, and Tina (Rodney) McCollough of Edwardsburg MI; and one stepson, Tony Thomas of Mishawaka, nine grandchildren; four brothers, Jerry Paulus of Seattle WA, Jim Paulus of Elkhart IN, Bill Paulus of South Bend and Leonald Rouch of Bremen IN; two sisters, Marylou Wagner of Mishawaka and Charlene Beery of Bremen, seventeen nieces and nephews; and twenty-one great nieces and nephews.

Nancy worked at Patrick Metals and was member of New Life Baptist Church.  Nancy loved to travel, do crossword puzzles, reading and spending time with her grandchildren.

Family and friends may call today, July 14, from 2 until 4 and 6 until 8pm in the Bubb Funeral Chapel, 3910 N. Main Street, Mishawaka. Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, July 15, at 10am in New Life Baptist Church, 11593 McKinley Highway East, Osceola, where family and friends may also call one hour prior to the services.  Rev. Michael Cramer will officiate the services with burial to follow at Fairview Cemetery in Mishawaka.
