Lois June Thomas, 75, of Bosse
Street, Mishawaka, Ind., passed away following a 14-year battle
with cancer at 10:10 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 8, in her home. She
was born on Dec. 31, 1924, in Mishawaka, to the late Ralph and
Wavel Harrington. She was also preceded in death by a
sister, Agnes Tam. On Sept. 7, 1946, she married Dale W. Thomas,
who survives. She is also survived by a daughter, Patricia
(Raymond) Hibshman of Mishawaka; two sons, Gary D. (Mary)
Thomas of Mishawaka and Michael D. (Pat) Thomas of South Bend,
Ind.; her grandchildren, Andy (Beth) Thomas, Sara Thomas, Raymond
(Kathy) Rauch, Charles (Chris) Thomas, Justin (Yan Yan
Xia) Thomas and Misty (Steve) Beehler; her great-
grandchildren, Anestasia, Alexis, Kaylin and Haley; and by her
sisters, Fianna Thomas, Margarette Elaine Hirsh and Mary
Lou Nastos, all of Mishawaka, and Shirley DeAngelis of
Fort Myers, Fla. Mrs. Thomas retired from St. Joseph Hospital,
Mishawaka, in 1986 as an x-ray aide after 25 years of service.
Services for Mrs. Thomas will be held at 10
a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 11, in the Bubb Funeral Chapel North, 3910
North Main Street, Mishawaka, where friends will be received from
2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today, Nov. 10. Burial will follow the
services at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola, Ind.
Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to the American Cancer Society or to Hospice of St. Joseph County.
