Mary E. Thibodeau, 88, of East Ninth Street, Mishawaka, Ind., passed away at 2:29 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 28, in Saint Joseph Community Hospital, Mishawaka. Mary was born on Sept. 17, 1913, in Mishawaka, to the late Kizer and Anna David. She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Marie Wittner, Bud Rahall and Minnie David; and by two brothers, David E. David and Albert David.

On Oct. 12, 1938, Mary married Edwin Thibodeau in St. Joseph Church, Mishawaka. He survives. She is also survived by two daughters, Sandra (Eugene) Barrett of Columbia City, Ind., and Jean Marie (Denny) Williams of Mishawaka; four sons, Robert (Maria) and Michael of Mishawaka, Ronald (Flora) of Dale City, Va., and David (Leslie) of Union, Ky.; and by 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Mary was a member of St. Joseph Parish, Mishawaka, and the Theresians. She was a volunteer at St. Joseph Communi-ty Hospital, Mishawaka, for 25 years. Prior to raising her family, Mary had worked at the hospital and the lunch room at Dodge Manufacturing in Mish-awaka.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today, Oct. 30, in the Thallemer-Goethals Funeral Home, Mishawaka, where a Rosary will be recited at 4:30 p.m. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 31, in St. Joseph Church, with Fr. Robert A. Yast officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Parish.
