Mrs. Delilah Bell Tharpe

February 5, 1898 – July 10, 1960

Mrs. Delilah Bell Tharpe, 62, of 106 N. Niles Ave., died at 9:15am Sunday at the Terry King Nursing Home.  She had been ill several months.

Born on February 5, 1898 in Paris TN, she had lived here since 1929, coming from Paris.  In 1924, she was married to Clarence Tharpe in Paris.  He is deceased.  Surviving are the father, Thomas Teague, of Paris; two daughters, Mrs. Louise Fisher and Mrs. Cozzie Winston, both of South Bend; one son, Lawrence of Indianapolis; twelve grandchildren; two brothers, Luther Teague of Momence IL; and Thomas Teague Jr of Paris TN; and one sister, Mrs. Rebecca Wyatt, of Paris TN.

Friends may call after 7pm Tuesday in the Haynes Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be held at 1pm Thursday in the Bethel Tabernacle, 129 N O’Brien St.  Elder J. R. Freeman, pastor, will officiate.  Burial will be in Highland Cemetery.
