Matthias Thallemer

Matthias Thallemer, of 1208 North Main Street, a resident of Mishawaka since 1888, and a most estimable citizen, died at St. Joseph Hospital Sunday afternoon, following an illness of two months from uraemic troubles. Mr. Thallemer was born in Baden, Germany, and was aged 71 years and 7 months. For a long term of years he had been a faithful employee of the Mishawaka Woolen Company.

He was married in 1871 to Eva Schmitt in Mishawaka, who preceded him eight years ago. He leaves the following; two daughters, Miss Anna and Miss Rose, at home; one sister, Gertrude of Chicago; two brothers, August and George, of Mishawaka; three grandchildren. The funeral was held from St. Monica’s Catholic Church Wednesday morning, Rev. Father Bleckmann officiating.
