Henrietta Thallemer

Mishawaka - Mrs. Henrietta Thallemer, 77, of 310 W. Battell, died at 11:47 a.m. Sunday in St. Joseph Hospital, South Bend, after an illness of three months.

She was born on June 30, 1903, in Mishawaka, and had lived here all her life.

As Henrietta Doll, she married Alfred J. Thallemer on May 28, 1942 in St. Joseph Church. He died Oct. 14, 1979.

Surviving are a daughter, Miss Mary C. Thallemer, at home; five sisters, Mrs. Gene Norris, of South Bend and Mrs. Jon Housand, Miss Gertrude Doll, Mrs. Bernadette Poppe and Mrs. Virginia Hurst of Mishawaka, and three brothers, Edwin, Bernard and Wilfred of Mishawaka. Another brother, Eugene, died in 1964.

Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. today in the Thallemer-Goethals Funeral Home, where the rosary will be recited at 4 p.m. today.

Services will be at 11 a.m. at St. Monica’s Catholic Church. Rev. Thaddeus Kwak, pastor, will officiate, and burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.

Mrs. Thallemer was a member of St. Monica’s parish and the Daughters of Isabella.
