George Thallemer

Apr. 24, 1873 – June 29, 1939

Mishawaka – George Thallemer, 66, of 310 West Battell Street, died at 6:15 a.m. today in his home. He had been ill several years.

Mr. Thallemer, a lifelong resident of this city, was born April 24, 1873 in Mishawaka.

He was married May 17, 1878 to Miss Anna Roth, who survives. Also surviving are a son Alfred J. Thallemer, at home, and two sister, Sister M. Gertrude, St. Elizabeth’s Hospital, Chicago, and Miss Rose Thallemer, this city.

Friends will be received in the residence until the funeral at 9 a.m. Saturday in St. Monica’s Roman Catholic Church. Rev. Anthony Badina, pastor will conduct the service and burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.

Editor: He was the son of Mathias Thallemer and Maria Eve Schmitt. The date of marriage in the obit is incorrect, it is May 17, 1898 from St. Joseph County marriage records.
