Irene Teske

Irene Rupley Teske, 85, passed away on Sunday, March 30, in Saint Joseph Care Center West, South Bend, Ind. Irene was born on July 27, 1917, to Andrew and Clara Nettrouer.

In 1937, as Irene Nettrouer, she married Harvey Rupley, who preceded her in death in 1940. In 1961 she married Allen Teske. He also preceded her in death in 1981. Irene enjoyed her friends at Real Services and also playing Bingo. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by her daughter, Virginia (Tom) Zigler of Mishawaka, Ind.; her son, Glen (Irene) Rupley of Spokane, Wash.; three stepsons, Roger (Evelyn) Teske of South Bend, James (Linda) Teske of South Bend and Charles (Becky) Teske of New Carlisle, Ind.; 18 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; and by her brother, John Nettrouer of South Bend.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 3, in the Forest G. Hay Funeral Home. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger, Ind. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made on behalf of Irene Rupley Teske to the Logan Center.
