Russell W. Termont, 78, of Bremen,
Ind., formerly of South Bend, Ind. Russell died Tuesday, Feb. 4,
in his home. He was born Oct. 12, 1924, in White Fish, Mont., a
son of the late Archiel and Harriet (Jacobs) Termont.
Russell was also preceded in death by a brother, Raymond, who
died at the age of three.
He grew up in Mishawaka, Ind., where he
attended Mishawaka schools. The Mishawaka/South Bend area was his
lifelong area of residence until moving to the Bremen area to
live with his daughter in 2001. Russell was employed for 47 years
at Wheelabrator. He was a member of Loyal Order of the Moose,
American Legion and the BK Club. Russell loved playing cards,
particularly euchre, and enjoyed fishing and watching his
grandchildren play soccer and basketball. Russell had a great
sense of humor which will be missed by all who knew him.
His family includes his daughter, Michelle
"Chelle" (Michael) Moser of Bremen; a brother,
Donald (Mary Lou) Termont of Fairfield Glade, Tenn.; a sister,
Delores (Robert) Blatz of Granger, Ind.; four
grandchildren, Kellie (Jason) Culp, Kris (Natalie) Moser,
Kortny and Koby Moser; and two great- grandchildren, Cameron and
Sydnee Culp.
Friends may call 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. today in the Thallemer-Goethals Funeral Home, 503 West Third Street, Mishawaka. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday in the funeral home, with Pastor Karl Brenner officiating. Burial will follow at Bremen Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Russell Termont Memorial Fund to be used for the Bremen Parks and Recreation Soccer Facility. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
