Captain Brian E. Termont, USAF, 34, a civil engineer, passed away Tuesday morning, Jan. 21, in Crossville, Tenn., following a six-month battle with cancer.
Visitation will be from noon to 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 26, at the Shrine of Remembrance, 1730 E. Fountain Blvd., Colorado Springs, Colo. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the USAF Academy Cadet Chapel, with Chaplain Paul L. Cannon, Capt., USAF, officiating. Burial will be at the USAF Academy cemetery.
Capt. Termont was born March 8, 1962, in South Bend, Ind., to Donald and Mary Lou (Pulley) Termont, who live in Crossville, Tenn. He was married May 9, 1996, in Las Vegas, Nev., to Anne Marie Pensoneault, who resides at their home in Colorado Springs, Colo.
He is also survived by his parents; a brother, David M. Termont of Indianapolis, Ind.; and his maternal grandparents, Maysel Baker of Savannah, Tenn., and Coy E. Pulley of Waynesboro, Tenn.
Capt. Termont was a 1984 graduate of the USAF Academy where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering. He was a Licensed Professional Engineer in Colorado, who served as a civil engineer with NORAD in Cheyenne Mountain, as a defense contract engineer with CTA, Incorporated, and most recently as a civil engineering Guardsman with the Colorado Air National Guard, Buckley ANGB, Colo.
He personally designed and produced the initial engineering drawings for the high-fidelity Cheyenne Mountain Training System within the Joint National Test Facility at Falcon Air Force Base, Colo. Capt. Termont's vision for a state-of-the-art training facility has enhanced the quality of Cheyenne Mountain operations crew training well into the next century.
