SOUTH BEND - William L. Taylor, 65, passed away at 7:58 pm on
Tuesday, March 30, 2010 in Memorial Hospital. William was born on
October 7, 1944 in Mishawaka, IN to the late Elroy and Jeanette
(Hofmann) Taylor. On September 22, 1979 in South Bend he married
Kathleen Hes, she survives along with their daughter, Sandra
(James) Granda of Floral City, FL; three grandchildren, Travis
Burks, Brittney Burks and Taylor Granda; mother-in-law, Adeline
Hes of South Bend; sister-in-law, Faye Hes of South Bend; two
aunts, Eileen Hofmann and Ginny Collins both of South Bend; and
by his two brothers, Jim Taylor of South Bend and Budd Taylor of
Mishawaka. Bill was a Scale Technician for Steinhoffer Scale and
retired after 30 years of service. He loved to fish at the Lake
cottage so much that he was known as Captain Bill. Bill was a
devoted family man. Friends and family may gather from 11:00 to
1:00 pm on Monday, April 5, 2010 in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824
S. Mayflower Road where a Memorial Service will be celebrated at
1:00 pm. Inurnment will take place at a later date in St. Joseph
Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to American
Heart Association of Northern Indiana, 6100 W. 96th St.,
Suite 200, Indianapolis, IN 46278 or to the Pet Refuge, 2300 W.
6th St., Mishawaka, IN 46544. For those who are unable to attend
