SOUTH BEND - Grace H. Taylor, 93, of Meridian Nursing Center-Cardinal, died at 4:45 p.m. Sunday in the nursing center. Mrs. Taylor was a teacher in Foresman, Ind.

She was born Jan. 24, 1902, in Foresman, and moved to this area in 1946 from LaPorte. On Feb. 13, 1926, in Lafayette, Ind., as Grace H. Foresman, she married J. Alvin Taylor. He died Sept. 24, 1993. Surviving are two sons, J. Carl and Robert G., both of South Bend; five grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. She was a graduate of DePauw University, a member of the First United Methodist Church, former director of the Budget Corner and a past president of Kiwanis Club Auxiliary, American Association of University Women and Church Missionary Circle.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the church. Entombment will be in Riverview Mausoleum. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday in Welsheimer Funeral Home, 521 N. William St. Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
