Otto E. Tavernier, 65, of 208 Lake View Drive, died this morning in Elkhart General Hospital.

He was born Oct. 1, 1903 in Mishawaka, and was married to Verna Estella Garvin on June 22, 1932 in Mishawaka. Surviving are his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Joseph (Verna Ann) Huffman of Elkhart; one son Edward W.; seven grandchildren; and a brother Albert, of Mnishawaka. He retired in 1964 as owner of Ott’s Supermarket, which he owned for many years.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday in the Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home, officiated by pastor of Osolo United Missionary Church. Burial will be in Rice Cemetery. Friends may call in the funeral home after 2 p.m. Thursday.
