MISHAWAKA - George W. Tavernier, who was born in Elkhart 68 years ago last Oct. 9^th, died early this morning at his home in Mishawaka, 401 Fairmont Avenue. He had been ill for only a short time. His wife Emily Chause Tavernier, whom he married in South Bend in 1895, died five years ago. Surviving him are; three sons, George of South Bend, Albert of Mishawaka, and Otto of Granger; a daughter, Mrs. Pearl Barbee of Mishawaka; a breother, Henry of South Bend; and a sister, Mrs. Herman Kreinke,

Services will be held at 9 a.m. Tuesday in St. Monica’s Catholic Church, and burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in Mishawaka.
