SOUTH BEND - Irene Nellie Tate, 92, passed away on Saturday, May
15th, in Miller's Merry Manor, New Carlisle, IN. She was born on
June 18, 1917, in Gregory, MI, to the late Pauline (Hubert) and
Nickolas Mustatia. She was preceded in death by a sister, Lila
Brown, and by two brothers, Edward and William Mustatia. Irene is
survived by two daughters, Eleanor (Jerry) Ullery of South Bend
and Betty (Samuel) Whitt of Henderson, NV; a son, Paul Brodner;
10 grandchildren, 13 great- grandchildren and one
great-great-grandchild; and by a sister, Carole Ketchum of
Milford, MI. Irene retired from Ed Stump Assembly in South Bend.
She loved to sew and enjoyed floral arranging. Irene had a warm
and charming personality, and will be greatly missed by those
whose lives she touched. Private family services for Irene will
be held on Wednesday, May 19th. There will be no visitation. The
Welsheimer Family Funeral Home, 521 N. William St., South Bend,
assisted the family with arrangements. The family requests that
memorial contributions be made to the Food Bank of Northern
Indiana, 702 Chapin St., South Bend, 46601; to Harbor Light
Hospice, 4330 Miami St., South Bend, IN 46614; or to the Humane
Society of St. Joseph County, 2506 Grape Road, Mishawaka, IN
