Audrey Jane Tase

Audrey Jane Tase, 81, of South Bend,
Ind., passed away on Tuesday morning, Jan. 25, in the Regency
Place Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center. She was born on May
3, 1918, in Goshen, Ind., to Warren and Lena (Sawyer) Cline.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and by a brother,
Stanley Cline.
On June 1, 1946, she married Wendell Tase in
Hammond, Ind. He also preceded her in death in 1987.
She was a longtime member of the First
Christian Church, served as deacon, and belonged to the
Fellowship Class and Christian Women's Fellowship. She was a
member of the Pythian Sisters and the Shoe and Slipper Club,
A.A.R.P., and Vrea Club of the American Electric Power Company.
Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. today,
Jan. 27, in the First Christian Church, and friends are invited
to call two hours prior to services in the church parlor. In lieu
of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart
Association, to the Cancer Society, or to the First Christian
Church, 1101 E. Jefferson Street. Audrey will be missed and
remembered by all her friends, and especially George and Audrey
Wilson, her dearest friends and caregivers. The Welsheimer
Funeral Home assisted with arrangements.
