Stanley F. Tarwacki, 83, of Montezuma, Ind., formerly of South Bend, Ind., died at 5:25 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 4, in Walnut Creek at Rockville, Ind. He was born on May 11, 1918, in South Bend, to Mary (Zalewski) and Chester Tarwacki.

On Sept. 24, 1966, in South Bend, he was married to Blanche Maxine Reynolds. He was a veteran of World War II, and retired from Screw Products. He is survived by his wife, Blanche Maxine Reynolds Tarwacki; children, John and Carol Tarwacki, and Gerald and Barbara Tarwacki, all of South Bend, Stanley and Linda Tarwacki of Ocala, Fla., Michael and Patricia Tarwacki of North Liberty, Ind., Mark and Deborah Tarwacki and Robert and Nancy Tarwacki, all of Rochester, N.Y., Margaret and Joseph Holleran of Webster, N.Y., Judith and Tom Francis of Mishawaka, Ind., Janet and Mark Blacharski of St. Petersburg, Fla., Mary Ann and Randy Sluhart of Colorado Springs, Colo.; stepchildren, Leon and Vique Atkinson of Indianapolis, Ind., Joseph and Barbara Atkinson of Montezuma, and Patricia and Michael Tarwacki of North Liberty; a niece, Patricia Kruszynski of South Bend; and by 42 grandchildren and 58 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Elsie A. Trimmel in 1965; and by a stepson, Harold Atkinson in 2000.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 8, in Brown Funeral Home, where friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today, Nov. 7. Rev. Keith McIntyre will officiate. Burial will take place at Oakland Cemetery, Montezuma.
