SOUTH BEND - Josephine F. Tarnocy, 88, of Brick Road, died at 5:45 a.m. Friday in Healthwin Hospital after an illness. Mrs. Tarnocy retired from Uniroyal in 1964 as a supervisor after 36 years. She was born Feb. 23, 1907, in South Bend.

On June 25, 1923, in South Bend, as Josephine Dylewski, she married John P. Tarnocy. He died March 30, 1968. Surviving are a daughter, Helen J. Kramer of South Bend; two grandchildren; two great-granchildren; and a sister, Clementine Cybulski of Bangor, Mich. She was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church and its Altar and Rosary Society and Daughters of Isabella, Notre Dame Circle 572.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the church. Burial will be in Highland Cemtery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Monday in Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, where a rosary will be said at 3:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
