MISHAWAKA - Sister M. Donata Tarczweski, OSF, 84, of Our Lady of the Angels St. Francis Convent, died at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in the convent.

She was a registered nurse in hospitals in Indiana. Her last mission was St. Francis Hospital and Health Centers, Beech Grove, Ind., where she served as a patient visitor. She entered the Franciscan Order April 18, 1927, and professed her vows Jan. 4, 1928. She retired to Our Lady of Angels Convent Feb. 14, 1992. She was born Jan. 4, 1910. Surviving are five sisters, Martha Kaufmann and Stella Jones, both of Barefoot Bay, Fla., Sophie Schumacher, Irene McMahon and Anna Rielly, all of Indianapolis.

A wake service will be from 6:45 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the convent chapel, where services will be at 2 p.m. Friday. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery, Mishawaka. Thallemer-Goethals Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the Sisters of St. Francis, P.O. Box 766, Mishawaka, IN 46546-0766 for the Sisters Retirement Fund or Honduras Missions.
