John Tamburini

November 5, 1903 – March 20, 1974

John Tamburini, 70, of 52851 Lily Rd., died at 8pm Wednesday in St Joseph’s Hospital after a month’s illness.  In 1968 he retired from the Northern Indiana Public Service Co after working there for 42 years.

Born November 5, 1903, in Italy, he had lived here 52 years after coming from Milwaukee.  On August 16, 1925, in South Bend, he married Emilia Stalteri, who survives.  Also surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Ann Holobyn, Mrs Rosemarie Cilancio and Mrs. Emily Kopec, all of South Bend; 14 grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Rosaria Spinelli of Milwaukee.

Friends may call from 7 to 9pm today and from noon until 9pm Friday in the Forest G. Hay & Son Funeral Home, 435 S Ironwood Dr.  Mr. Tamburini was a charter member of the Ave Maria Council 552, Knights of Columbus, and the DeAmicis Club, Mishawaka.
