SOUTH BEND - Services for Emilia
''Rosie'' Tamburini, 90, of Holy Cross Care &
Rehabilitation Center, who died at 5 p.m. Tuesday in the nursing
home, will be at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Matthew Cathedral. Burial
will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 8
p.m. Sunday in Zahoran Funeral Home.
Mrs. Tamburini retired in 1970 from Uniroyal
Plastics Co., Mishawaka, after 50 years of service. She was born
Dec. 3, 1904, in Calabria, Italy, and lived in South Bend since
1923.
On Aug. 16, 1925, in South Bend, as Emilia Stalteri,
she married John Tamburini. He died March 20, 1974. She is
survived by two daughters, Rosemarie Bilancio and Emily Kopec,
both of South Bend; 14 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
A daughter, Anna Holobyn, died May 26, 1983. She was a
charter member of Anita Garabalidi, Rosary Society of the church
and Daughters of Isabella.
