TALCOTT – Active pallbearers for the services at 2pm Saturday in the Russell Funeral Home for Thad M. Talcott Jr. of 125 W Marion ST., South Bend attorney, who died Thursday, will be Joseph A Roper, R. Floyd Searer, Samuel Feiwell, Francis Jones, William E. Voor and Nathan Levy.

Honorary pallbearers will be J. Elmer Peak, Thomas W. Slick, Luther M. Swygert, Robert A Grant, Alvin F. Marsh, Lenn J. Oare, Orlo R. Deahl and Dan Pyle. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery. 

Mr. Talcott served as US commissioner under three federal judges for a period of 37 years, the longest tenure of any commissioner in the Northern Indiana Federal District.  He was a member of both houses of the Indiana General Assembly.
