MISHAWAKA -- Jean Ann Talbot, 61, of East Seventh Street, died at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday (June 8, 2004) in the emergency room at St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center, after an illness.
She was born July 20, 1932, to John and Jean (Airheart) Zeitler in South Bend. She married Michael J. Talbot on May 2, 1959, in St. Joseph's Catholic Church in South Bend.
He survives, along with her mother, Jean Van Velleghem of South Bend; two daughters, Michele (Frank) Squadroni of Granger and Kathy Carlson of Homes Beach, Fla.; three sons, Michael (Jackie) Talbot of Osceola, Joseph (Jackie) Talbot of South Bend and Christopher Talbot of South Bend; 11 grandchildren; one great-grandson; and her mother-in-law, Dorothy Talbot, and sister-in-law, Judy O'Bryant, both of New Port Richey, Fla. She was preceded in death by her father and her twin sister, Joyce McDowell.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at the Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. Eighth St., Mishawaka, where services will be at 10 a.m. Friday. The Rev. Robert Yast of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Mishawaka will officiate.
Mrs. Talbot was a homemaker most of her life, but for the past 10 years she worked in the payables department of St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, South Bend. Memorials may be sent in her name in lieu of flowers to Riley Hospital for Children, 50 S. Meridian St., Suite 500, Indianapolis, IN 46204.
