Lillian F. Szynski, 78, of Country
Care West, formerly of 1707 Riverside Drive, South Bend, Ind.,
passed away at 12:50 p.m. on Tuesday, July 29, in the Country
Care Home. Mrs. Szynski was born on April 25, 1919, in South
Bend, and was a lifelong area resident. She retired from
Uniroyal.
On October 4, 1937, in South Bend, as
Lillian F. Bonczynski, she married Casimir Szynski, who
preceded her in death on October 11, 1988. She was also preceded
in death by three sisters, Pearl Wroblewski, Josephine Kujawa
and Verna Toth; and by two brothers, Sylvester and Frank
Bonczynski. She is survived by two daughters, Deanne Foldesi
of New Carlisle, Ind., and Pamela Russell of South Bend; a
son, Paul Szynski of South Bend; five grandchildren, Lisa Foldesi
Boylen, Bryan Foldesi, Marika Szynski, Jason Russell and
Bryce Russell; three great-grandchildren, Chad Boylen, Sarah
Boylen and Erin Foldesi; three sisters, Theresa Zarembka
and Marie Przygoda, both of South Bend, and Evelyn Pacala
of California.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on
Friday in St. Casimir Church, with Rev. Thomas Lemos, C.S.C.,
officiating. Entombment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today in the Kaniewski Funeral
Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, where a parish Rosary will be recited
at 4 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Casimir
Church.
