Ladislaus L. (Sam) Szymanski

April 6, 1892 – February 13, 1980

Ladislaus L. Szymanski, 87, of 1714 Walnut, died at 6:25pm Wednesday in the Veterans Administrations Hospital, Marion IN after a lengthy illness.  He retired from the former Oliver Corp.

He was born on April 6, 1892, in South Bend, and had lived here all his life.  On November 16, 1918, in South Bend, he married Blanche S. Brzezniak.  She died in 1965.  Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Lucille Zmudzinski of South Bend; a son, Ralph, of South Bend; six grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and a sister, Sister Stanislaus of Saint Mary’s College.

Services will be at 10am Monday in St Casimir Catholic Church.  Rev. Howard A. Kuhns, CSC, pastor, will officiate.  Burial will be in St Joseph Cemetery.  Friends may call from 7 to 9pm Saturday and from 2 to 9pm Sunday in the St Joseph Funeral Home.  He was a WW I veteran
