Louis Szoke

Louis Szoke, 88, of Hartzer Street,
passed away at 11:15 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 24, in the Ironwood
Health and Rehabilitation Center. Mr. Szoke retired in 1975 from
A.M. General, and also had been employed by Studebaker. Louis was
born on June 5, 1912, in Davison, Mich.
On July 20, 1935, in South Bend, Ind., he
married Lena Chiszar, who survives. He is also survived by
a daughter, Judith Ann (Richard) Gorney of South Bend; a
son, Lewis Szoke of South Bend; three grandchildren, Anna Marie
(David) Godollei, Rick Gorney and Julie Ann (Greg) Klosinski;
five great-grandchldren, Abigail Godollei, Emily Godollei, Chloe
Klosinski, Nathan Klosinski and Rachel Klosinski; and by a
sister, Mary Iszak of Hungary.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. today, Nov. 28, in Our Lady of Hungary Church. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery. Family and friends called from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday in the Zahoran Funeral Home, 1826 S. Kemble Ave., where a rosary was recited at 3
