SOUTH BEND - Mary Anna Szlanfucht, 93, of South Kendall Street, died at 3:15 a.m. today in Healthwin Hospital and Nursing Home. Mrs. Szlanfucht was an employee of the former Wilson Brothers and Studebaker Corp. She was born Jan. 1, 1901, in Houston, and lived in South Bend most of her life.

In 1919, as Mary Anna Hans, she married Valentine Krych. He died in 1927. On Sept. 30, 1933, in South Bend, she married Edward M. Szlanfucht. He survives, with a daughter, Adeline VanLaecke of Mishawaka; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a brother, Joseph Hans of South Bend.

Services will be at noon Thursday in St. Mary's Polish National Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in Zahoran Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association.
