Betty June Szczodrowski, 70, of US 20 in New Carlisle, Ind., passed away Monday, May 13, in the Saint Joseph's Regional Medical Center in South Bend, Ind.

Betty June was born on Aug. 20, 1931, in Mitchell, Ind., and had lived in New Carlisle since 1960.

On April 23, 1960, as Betty June True, she married A. George Szczodrowski, who survives. She is also survived by four daughters, Shari (Roy) Cannon of Ocala, Fla., Denise Ayres of Ft. Wayne, Ind., Kim Brugh-Young of Elkhart, Ind., Valeri Waters of Ft. Wayne; five grandchildren, Marci Spivey, Justin Markley, Karon Cowham, Angela Brugh and Adam Brugh; and by two great-grandchildren, Tayla and Zachary Spivey.

Betty June was employed by H&R Block as a manager. She was the past president of the New Carlisle Businessmen's Association and was on the New Carlisle Library Board.

There will be no services; cremation has taken place.
