Vincent Szakaly

September 2, 1887 – November 1, 1954

Vincent Szakaly, 1522 S Arnold St., who suffered a stroke of paralysis Friday afternoon in a field near his home, died in Memorial Hospital at 12:15am today.  He was born in Hungary September 2, 1887, and came here 48 years ago from that country.  He married Christine Nemeth here in 1919 who survives.  He was a janitor at the University of Notre Dame.

Surviving are two sons, Andrew, of Marion IN and Dr. John Szakaly, South Bend, and two brother in Hungary.  He was a member of the Verhovay Aid Association.  Friends may call after 2pm Tuesday in the Zahoran Funeral Home.
