Julius J. Szabo

April 4, 1903 – September 18, 1976

Julius J. Szabo, 73, of 20730 Louise, died at 11:20pm Saturday in Memorial Hospital.  He had been ill for six months.  Szabo was a retired Studebaker Corp employee.

Born on April 4, 1903, in Hungary, he lived here 32 years, coming from Scranton PA.  On February 24, 1927, in Scranton, he married Rose Voros.  She survives with a daughter, Mrs. Rosalie Treber of North Liberty; two sons, Julius of Elkhart and John of South Bend; seven grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Mary Franchetti of Troop PA.

Services will be at 10am Wednesday in Our Lady of Hungary Catholic Church.  Rev. Philip Corbett, associate pastor, will officiate.  Burial will be in Highland Cemetery.

Friends may call from 7 to9pm today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm Tuesday in the Zahoran Funeral Home where a rosary will be recited at 7:30pm today by the members of the Legion of Mary of the church.
