Donna S. Sylvia, 43, of West Linden Avenue, South Bend, Ind., died at 4:15 a.m. on Monday, April 7, in St. Joseph's Medical Center. Mrs. Sylvia was born Aug. 13, 1953, in South Bend, and was a lifelong area resident.

On Jan. 21, 1991, in South Bend, as Donna Gabbard, she married Michael Sylvia, who survives. She is also survived by a daughter, Maryellen J. Weldy of South Bend; a son, Henry Sylvia of South Bend; two stepdaughters, Teresa Sylvia of Edwardsburg, Mich., and Malisa Fredericks of Fort Knox, Ky.; 10 grandchildren; her mother, Patsy Gabbard of South Bend; and by three sisters, Patricia Niles, Brenda Gabbard and Loisellen Davis, all of South Bend.

Services will be at 1 p.m. on Thursday at Holy Family Catholic Church. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday in the St. Joseph Funeral Home, where a Rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.
