Sharon A. Switalski, 59, of Quince Road, South Bend, Ind., died at 5 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 4, in her residence. She was born on Jan. 12, 1941, in South Bend, and was a lifelong area resident. She was preceded in death by her father, Anthony Lane. Mrs. Switalski was employed by Derby Incorporated.

On Oct. 3, 1964, in South Bend, as Sharon Lane, she married Wendeline "Jim" Switalski, who survives. She is also survived by two daughters, Cynthia M. (Phillip) Bailey and Teresa (Chad) Hooten, both of South Bend; her mother, Goldie (Zubrits) Lane of South Bend; three grandchildren, Kyle Bailey, Adam Bailey and Kelsey Walker, all of South Bend; two sisters, Linda Wieczorek of South Bend and Julie Rutledge of Schoolcraft, Mich.; and by a brother, Thomas Lane of Fort Wayne, Ind.

Family and friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 8, in the ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Road. Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 9, in St. Stanislaus Kostka Catholic Church, Terre Coupee, Ind. Cremation will follow.
