Frank A. Swintal, age 74, of S.
Albert St. South Bend, died at 5:50 a.m. Wednesday in St.
Joseph's Regional Medical Center. He was born June 13, 1924 in
South Bend, and lived in this area all of his life. He retired in
1986 from the Northern Indiana State Hospital after 23 years of
service. His favorite past time was building and repairing golf
clubs.
Mr. Swintal is survived by a daughter,
Debbie Swift and her husband Robert, of Granger, a son
David A. Swintal of Indianapolis, two grandchildren, Beth Ann Brown
and her husband Todd, and Kevin Swift and his fiancee
Cortney Seward, and a sister, Patricia A. Burns and
her husband Don of Bradenton, Florida. Mr. Swintal was preceded
in death by his parents, Frank and Eva (Giwogia) Swintal
and his brother Richard Swintal.
Family and friends may call from 4:00 p.m.
until 8:00 p.m. Friday in the St. Joseph Funeral Home, 824 S.
Mayflower Road. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in the
funeral home, with burial to follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.
Mr. Swintal was a Navy veteran of World War
II, and member of American Legion Pulaski Post #357.
