Mrs. Peter (Justyna) Swilo

August 26, 1914 – August 5, 1982

Mrs. Justyna Swilo, 67, of 1530 W Fisher, died at 10:37pm Thursday in Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness.

She was born on August 26, 1914, in Lebieoziewo, Poland, and lived here for 31 years, coming from Poland.  In 1968, in Poland, she married Peter Swilo, who survives.  Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Helen Knappenberger of South Bend and Mrs. Donna Van Ooteghem of Mishawaka; a son, Joseph of Elkhart; and eight grandchildren.

Services will be at 10am Saturday in the Bubb Funeral Chapel, Mishawaka.  Rev. Howard Kuhns, CSC, pastor of St Casimir’s Catholic Church, will officiate.  Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka.  Friends may call form 6 to 9pm today in the funeral chapel where a vigil service will be conducted at 7:30pm.  She was a member of the church.
